Correct us if we're wrong, but conceptualizing the dreamiest tablescapes is one of the most joyous parts of the wedding planning journey.  While trends and styles come and go, in our humble opinion, wedding tablescapes should always remain unrelentlessly romantic and a little sexy.

At the moment, we're coveting an abundance of candles, whimsical florals, and textured, playful linen. Below is our round-up of the looks we love, that we think you will too.

Timeless

This monochromatic tablescape hits the sweet spot between exuding romance and elegance while remaining timeless. Visually, what creates interest is the cohesive colour story of complimentary hues of ivory, beige and cream and the varying levels in height.  While the roses are undoubtably the star,  the cleverality of the design requires only the strategic placement of the roses rather than an abundance of it,  therefore being a little friendlier on the wallet––yay!

Sensual

If the thumbnail on this blog post didn't give it away, this may be our absolute fave at the moment. Possibly because white-on-white has been overdone in the past few years, we've found ourselves craving warm, comforting tones.  Together with the candles, the hues of deep purple and red create a sensual, warm, and slightly eclectic space.

Whimsical and Pastel

Pastels have been all the rage recently, and though it took us a minute to let go of our (unhealthy) obsession with white-on-beige, we get it now. The whimsical, easy on the eyes tablescape feels like a ray of sunshine on a cold spring morning.  A note of caution though––what makes this tablescape stunning is that all the hues of pastel are relatively subdued. The pinks aren't too pink, the yellows are mellow or deep––there is a cohesion amongst all the colours, with nothing be too vibrant.

Something Blue

Florals are pricy, we totally get it. The beauty photographed above is the perfect way of saving some $ while letting another element shine: gorgeously textured linens and glassware.

A drapey, dramatic chiffon running sprawling across the table does the same trick.  Again, it's all about selecting the perfect hue––we would always opt to stay subdued than overly vibrant.

One more for the road––in addition to creating interest through the linen, mismatched statement candles is as fun.  And the best part? Rather than splurging on short-lived florals, linen and candles can always be rented! Yay again for saving some mula!

Dramatic

Finally, for an intimate reception where only a table of two is required, we'd go dramatic and be bold. A table adorned with endless florals, fauna fruits - a medieval style fiesta if you will, but with a chic modern day twist.
